Very fine, self-winding, water-resistant down to 30 meters, 18K yellow gold gentleman's chronometer wristwatch, with fitted box and certificate. massive, polished, back engraved with the syanbols and signature, sapphire-set winding-crown with the initials U.N., sapphire crystal. in polychrome "cloisonne" enamel representing the ship "HMS Victory", outer gold ring bearing the applied gold indexes and Roman numerals. This series was produced in several limited editions in 18K yellow gold, some of 12 and others of 25 examples, each edition with different ships on the dials. They were specially made to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Ulysse Nardin, the dials enameled by Michel Vermot, Le Locle. The history of the navy, of over 50 countries in the world, has been closely associated to Ulysse Nardin for the past 100 years. Some of the most famous historical ships are represented on the "cloisonne" enamel dials of this special series of watches. The "cloisonne" enamel dial required 54 different operations: 12 kiln-processing at over 840 degrees and about 100 hours patient work for the artist.
