Very fine, self-winding, water-resistant down to 30 meters, 18K yellow gold gentleman's chronometer wristwatch, with fitted box and certificate. massive, polished, back engraved with the symbols and signature, sapphireset winding-crown with the initials U.N., sapphire crystal. in polychrome "cloisonne" enamel representing the ship "Gorch Fock", outer gold ring bearing the applied gold indexes and Roman numerals. "Feuille" gold hands. Notes The Gorch Fock is the German training-ship that was launched in Hamburg in 1958. Its name derives from the pseudonym of the writer Hans Kinau who died during the Skagerrak battle at sea in 1916. The Gorch Fock represented Germany during the Commemoration of the 500 years of the discovery of America, in New York in 1992.
