Very fine and rare, rectangular "bombe", "Pagoda" shaped, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch, with fitted box and certificate. flared, massive, polished, satined, concave sides. Champagne with applied gold Roman numerals + auxiliary seconds dial. "Feuille" burnished steel hands. 215 Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, Giromax balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, antishock system, selfcompensating flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 29 x 41 mm. Notes The "Pagoda" series was specially produced in 1997 to mark the inauguration of Patel Philippe's new watchmaking centre in Geneva. Destruction of the tools and dies used in its manufacture ensures that this model, reference 5500, can no longer be produced. Each watch is accompanied by a silver medal edited for the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new manufacture and bears the dedication: Henri Stern et Philippe Stern d taus nos ants, a l'occasion de I'inauguration de la nouvelle Maim/addle Patek Philippe.
