Ulysse Nardin "Planetarium Copernicus", Ref. 801- 22, No. 107, 1990's Very fine and interesting, self-winding, center seconds watch, reproducing the rotation of the Copernicus planetarium system in 18K yellow gold. massive, polished, Roman numerals engraved on the bezel, transparent back, central attachment strap, "Vendome" type central lugs. gold and sky blue. Made of 7 rings. The "movements " of the Copernican planetarium system are visualized in real time and reconstructed with incredible precision. At the center is the Sun, the third fixed ring is the Earth, a small gilt globe with the Moon rotates around it, the other five are the Planets known during the Copernican era (Mercuy, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) and the gilt, more external one is the equator, with the indication of the months and constellations that completes a turn in a year. To facilitate the reading of the Planetarium, the glass has 12 lines internally silk-screened that, starting from the Earth, creates a spider web design defining the position of the planets in relation to the zodiac signs.
