Courvoisier Jonais, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 20015, circa 1875. Fine 18K gold hunting cased, double face calendar keyless watch, Patented No. 122, from 27 June 1871. Five body, massive, "bassine et filets", engineturned with reeded band. White enamel on the front with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. White enamel on the rear face, the dates on the border with subsidiary dials for the months and the days of the week, half moon sector above for the Slow/Fast index. Notes Several unsigned watches of this type were wrongly attributed before the discovery of the first fully signed. Thanks to this type of watches, the Courvoisier coat-of-arms was properly identified.
