Swiss, circa 1820. Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel ring watch with central winding. Double body, marquise with black enamelled hinged bezel. White enamel eccentric with Arabic numerals, below the balance aperture. Blued steel "spade " hands. Navette shaped brass inverted full plate with cylindrical pillars, the fixed barrel with revolving arbor wound from the centre square, cylinder escapement, polished steel three-arm balance balance oscillating against a polished steed ground, flat balance spring, with regulator, the index beneath the bezel. Dim. 35 x 21 mm. Notes This watch is wound from the centre like the early Louis XIV oignons with single hand; a very unusual feature to be found on a 19th century watch.
