Geneva, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set pendant watch with visible balance, designed as an escutcheon in original red Morocco fitted box. Double body, in the form of an escutcheon with split-pearl set bezels, the blue enamel back centred with trophies of Love, chased within an oval cartouche. Small eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals, the balance aperture above, on the gold dial plate fully decorated with red, azure and blue champleve enamelled decoration including doves, curtains and garlands. Blued steel "spade" hands. Hinged shaped inverted gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the going barrel passing through the back plate, cylinder escapement, rose-cut diamond-set balance, flat balance spring, the regulator index on the back plate.
