Very fine 18K gold hunting cased, moon phase astronomical keyless minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar and chronograph, made for the Indian Market. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets " , fully chased with foliage and formal decoration. Hinged gold cuvette partly engraved with flowers. Silver with Roman numerals, outer minute and chronograph rings, sunk subsidiary dials for days of the week, months of the leap-year cycle, dates and subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture, engraved with foliage border and centre with gold cast floral decoration. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes Good example of the type of prestigious watches made towards the end of the 19th century, either for the Indian or the South American markets.
