White enamel with centre seconds, small eccentric Roman chapter ring below the balance aperture, subsidiary Gregorian dates and Fast/Slow regulator. Gold arrow hands. White enamel on the rear face with small eccentric Breguet chapter ring below the compass, subsidiary Republican dates on 30 days and days of the week. Gold arrow hands. Hinged gilt brass with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass five-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with garnet end-stone. Diam. 53 mm. Notes The hallmarks on the case of this watch, were specially introduced on the 13 Prairial An VIII for watches produced in Besancon between the 3 Vendemiaire an VIII and the 12 Prairial An XIII. Such marks were never used in any other city, even Paris.
