Piguet Meylan, Geneva, No. 2365, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1815. Fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set quarter repeating musical watch. Four body, Empire with reeded band, split-pearl set bezels, pendant and bow, the back panel of blue flinque enamel. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute ring. Gold hands. Gilt-brass with free standing barrels, inverted cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Pin-disc musical train with 20 blued steel teeth. Piguet Meylan Master mark punched on the front plate beneath the dial. Diam. 58 mm.
