French, 19th century. A French Provincial bergere in the Louis XV style, comprising a molded light stained walnut frame with floral carved crest, terminating in padded arms with molded knuckled hand rests, over curved supports, the back, seat, and arms upholstered in conforming foliate patterned cotton in shades of turqouise, lime green, slate blue, and white, above the curved apron with central carved opposing flowers, the front corners with carved flowers, raised on four molded cabriole legs. Approximate height 38", width 28.5", depth 25", seat to floor 20". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
