A French Provincial commode in the Directoire style comprising stained and distressed walnut lined in oak, the top surmounting three long drawers with patinated metal brasses comprising round patera backplates and ring pulls, flanked at back and front by squared fluted columns over corner blocks raised on four conforming fluted tapered feet. Approximate height 34.5", width 41", depth 21". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
