Four English Sterling Silver Casters and Four Salts, salts: bearing rubbed marks for London 1825-26, maker's mark "W_," each with a cobalt glass liner in a gadrooned rectangular dish raised on a rectangular foot, with a presentation inscription "Sophia Augusta Brown London 1882," lg. 3 3/4; casters: London, 1907-11, William Comyns & Sons Ltd., each urn-form with an engraved armorial to shoulder, ht. 5 in., approx. 28.1 troy oz. total. Provenance: The salts by family decent from either Sophia Augusta Browne Brown (1825-1909), who married John Carter Brown II (1797-1874), or their daughter Sophia Augusta Brown (1867-1947), to the present owner.
