Circular Cinnabar Box, China, 19th century, both sides on a stylized cloud ground, one with two lions playing with a brocade ball with a band of ruyi heads surrounding the edge, the other side with a chilong with water coming from its mouth onto a pearl, wish-granting clouds, and books and several leaping fish, a band of peaches and leaves surrounding the edge, dia. 7 in. a hole in between the eyes of the dragon, minor wear and chips on one side
