French School, 20th Century Etude pour la Faculte de Pharmacie , 1924. Unsigned, identified on a label affixed to the reverse. Gouache on paper, sight size 4 5/8 x 9 7/8 in., framed. Condition: Mounted to cardstock, craquelure, very minor losses, toning, mat burn. Provenance: Purchased from Galerie de l'Ile de France, March 15, 1962; estate of an arts benefactor, New York. Sheet size 6 7/16 x 10 3/4 in. (16.4 x 27.3 cm); Image size 4 1/8 x 9 1/4 in. The work was previously ascribed to Albert Gleizes but disavowed by the expert Anne Varichon. There is a receipt from the Galerie ascribing the work to Gleizes.
