Hand-stitched Trapunto Whitework Cotton Quilt, with Tree of Life at center surrounded by grape, floral, and leaf designs, with geometric border and fringe on three sides, approx. 84 x 86 in. Staining and discoloration, toning, wear, a few small repairs, areas on the back where fabric has worn and cotton stuffing is coming through, one edge with losses approx. two inches in diameter, back side fabric coarse, homespun, probably early to mid-19th century. Appears to be constructed of two pieces of fabric front side and three on back.
