George III tortoiseshell veneered tea caddy of elongated octagonal form with paneled sides throughout, hinged lid opens to reveal dark peacock green velvet fabric lining on underside of lid, silvered interior of body. Caddy with oval mother of pearl escutcheon, accompanied with key. Unmarked. Approximate height 4.7", width 6.5", depth 5.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
