English, second half of 19th century. A tilt top tea table on tripod base, the quatrefoil top punctuated by astragal form edges, top surface with bookmatched mahogany veneers framed by a conforming molded gallery with turned urn form balusters over an astragal carved molding, resting on a birdcage surmounting a pillar shaft delicately carved with Gothic inspired tracery and acanthus leaves within Gothic arches over a patera carved ring, all resting on heavily carved tripod base, each leg joined by large carved shells, the bellflower carved knees terminating in scrolled acanthus carved feet. Approximate height 29.50", width of top 30", depth of top 30".
