Thomas Tompion Gilt Case Clock Watch, London, c. 1700, the pierced gilt-brass outer case with monogrammed back opens to reveal the plain brass case with internal bell, cast champleve dial with Roman hour and Arabic minute numerals set on a matted and chased ground, the verge escapement, chain fusee movement engraved Tho. Tompion, London , with pierced floral balance cock and foot, tulip and turned pillars, steel countwheel with engraved Arabic numerals, blued steel pointer, and silvered regulating dial, cased dia. 53 mm. Inner case and dial are probable replacements, lacking a minute hand, movement complete.
