Tortoni, Carlo Antonio (1640-1700) Istruzione delle due Sorti di Microscopii Tortoniani . Rome: Komarek, 1687. Quarto pamphlet, one six-leaf signature, with one full-page engraving only (of two); deckle edges, some spotting, 17th century ink ownership inscription on title; bound in modern wood-grained paper covered boards. Tortoni invented this new screw barrel microscope in 1685, but kept the details under wraps until this publication.
