Quarto, illustrated with portrait and engraved title, seven folding and four full-page plates, and dozens of text engravings, some nearly full-page; many parts in one volume, all with separate title pages dated in the 1680s and 1690s, one marginal stain over a few pages near the beginning, otherwise good, in clean, contemporary stiff, blind-tooled Dutch parchment over boards. This is a collection Leeuwenhoek's letters to members of the Royal Society in London on his recent microscopic discoveries and observations, text in Dutch.
