Octavo, second English edition, with frontispiece, contemporary sheepskin, boards detached, browning. Agrippa comments on the vanity of seemingly every possible human occupation, including but not limited to stage-dancing, alchemy, court ladies, medicine, lawyers, magic, fishing, grammar, looking glasses, the inquisition, witchcraft, and scholastic theology. He concludes with "A Digression in Praise of the Ass."
