Gardner, London , applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, cast brass spandrels, recessed calendar and mock pendulum, the ebonized oak case with caddy top, four finials and carrying handle, cast spandrels on dial door and pierced brass sound vents backed with fabric on the sides, eight-day, time and strike, fusee movement with verge escapement, pear-shaped pendulum bob and fully engraved backplate, ht. with handle extended 20 in. Dial cleaned and resilvered, movement running but wants cleaning, brasses in old surface. Appears to retain the original hands, lacking a key.
