Tiffany & Co (American (New York), founded 1837), circa 1940-1941. A sterling silver coffee set comprising a 1.5 pints coffee pot, creamer, and sugar bowl. Coffee pot of tapered cylindrical form comprising an elongated upturned spout, ebonized wood handle and urn form finial. Each piece with engraved monogram on front reading "ESJB" for Ellen St. John Barnes.Each piece marked on bottom with "TIFFANY & Co MARKER STERLING SILVER" and with "22938" for pattern number. Approximate height of coffee pot 8.5", width (spout to handle) 8.25". Sugar bowl approximate height 2.25", diameter at top 4". Creamer approximate height 4", width 4", diameter 2". Overall approximate weight 31.3 troy ounces. Provenance: St. John Estate, Atlanta Georgia whereby acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
