Thomas Atmore Japanned Longcase Clock, London, c. 1710, flat-top hood with engaged columns flanking the square dial door, 12-in. composite brass dial with maker's boss marked Tho. Atmore , London , Roman numeral chapter ring, matted center with engraving around the recessed calendar opening, ringed winding holes and cast brass spandrels, rectangular waist door with oval lentical, molded base all with japanned decoration, eight-day time and countwheel strike movement with pendulum and two cast iron weights, ht. 81 in. Jappaned decoration of mixed periods, some paint peeling on case, movement needs complete overhaul.
