Mahogany Astronomical Regulator, England, c. 1840, 11-in. silvered dial with outer minute ring and subsidiary hour and seconds dials within, eight-day, time-only, weight-powered movement with adjustable deadbeat escapement pallets and maintaining power, flat pendulum rod and two brass-cased cylindrical bobs and brass-cased weight, rectangular waist door with glazed Gothic pendulum aperture and printed paper on wood beat scale, ht. 65 in. Small piece of molding missing on hood. Movement may need cleaning and lubrication. Movement has six pillars with the pendulum suspeneded from the rear. Pendulum appears to be a flat steel rod with two filled brass shells.
