Chinese, Qianlong Period Mark (1735-1796), likely of the period. A carved and lidded round cinnabar box having landscape scene to lid in relief with pagoda architecture at center amid ocean and mountains, the straight side walls of body and lid with wide bands of scrolling vines around lotus flowers, the interior of box with black lacquer finish. Underside with incised and gilt six character Qianlong imperial reign mark. Overall approximately 2.875" tall, 6.875" diameter.
