Chinese, likely first half 20th century. A palatial size porcelain center bowl of squat form, the central medallion decorated with flanking phoenixes in opposing format surrounded by large chrysanthemum blossoms and cloud and foliate scrolls, the cavetto and exterior with further chrysanthemum blossoms and scrolls, the wide flat rim with a band of diaper patterning. Unmarked. Approximate diameter 26.375", approximate height 4.5".
