Collection of Don Bronstein (1926-1928) Photographic Contact Sheets Depicting Duke Ellington and Orchestra Members in the Recording Studio, believed to be unpublished, fifteen sheets with 213 images, the reverse stamped "Don Bronstein, 4912 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago 25, Illinois, Irving8-3494." Note: Don Bronstein was the first staff photographer for Playboy magazine, as well as house photographer for Chicago's Chess Records. In 1963, he did the photograph of Barbra Streisand, back to the camera, standing on the Lake Michigan shoreline. This photograph became the cover of her fourth album titled People . Both the album and the cover art went on to win Grammys.
