Reginald Marsh (American, 1898-1954) Coney Island Beach, 1935, edition of about 200, published by the American Artists Group, 1936 (Sasowsky, 159). Unsigned, identified in text and with AAG stamp on the reverse. Etching on paper, plate size 9 x 12 in. (22.8 x 30.4 cm), framed. Condition: Margins 1 3/4 inches or more, crease with breaks to surface within image l.l., staining (primarily to margins), nicks and tears to edges of sheet. The sheet measures 13 x 18 in. The crease within the image is about 5/8 inches long. The nicks and tears to the edges are primarily to the top and left edges. The longest tears are 1/2 inch. The image is gently lightstruck within the opening of the mat window.
