Paul César Helleu (French, 1859-1927) Le Noeud Bleu, c. 1905, edition of 80 (Montesquiou, XL). Signed "Helleu" in pencil l.l. Drypoint in blue, red, brown, and black on paper, plate size 21 3/8 x 13 1/8 in. (54.2 x 33.3 cm), framed. Condition: Unobtrusive toning, not examined out of frame. Out of the frame the sheet measures 23 3/4 x 16 1/2 inches. The edges are stained and very brittle, including numerous nicks, tears, and losses. There are also losses to the corners. The sheet has gentle, overall toning.
