Louis Icart (French, 1888-1950) Thaïs, 1927 (Holland et al. , 312). Signed "Louis Icart" in pencil l.r., indistinctly inscribed in pencil l.l., artist's printing press dry stamp l.l., titled and dated within the plate. Color etching and aquatint with coloring on paper, oval format, plate size 16 3/4 x 21 1/8 in. (42.5 x 53.5 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame. The sheet measures approximately 22 1/4 x 28 1/4 inches. There is even toning plus water staining along the lower edge. There are several handling creases to the right margin. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no additional visible issues to report.
