Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita (French/Japanese, 1886-1968) Nue allongée from FEMMES, 1930, edition of 100 (Buisson vol. II, 30-75). Signed "Foujita" in pencil l.r., numbered "51/100" in pencil l.l. Etching with color aquatint on paper, plate size 14 1/2 x 21 7/8 in. (36.8 x 55.5 cm), framed. Condition: Staining, gentle rippling, not examined out of frame. Out of the frame the work is printed on chine colle. The supporting sheet measures 20 1/4 x 27 7/8 in. The margins of the supporting sheet are toned and glued to the facing mat. The image itself is gently toned. There are also two pale spots: a larger one to her right arm and a smaller one to her right breast. The reverse of the supporting sheet as surface rubs and staining.
