Chamberlain (American, 1895-1975) Lot of Three Landscape Views: The Cypresses, Siracusa, c. 1925, edition of 61 plus proofs (Chamberlain & Kingsland, 18); The Poplars, edition of 25 (Chamberlain & Kingsland, 33); and The Saplings, the only second state impression (Chamberlain & Kingsland, 108). The last two signed "Samuel Chamberlain" in pencil l.r. and inscribed l.l. Drypoints on paper, plate sizes to 7 5/8 x 10 3/8 in. (19.2 x 26.3 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins 1 inch or more with some deckled edges, annotations to lower margins, subtle soiling, staining to some margins, loss to corner u.r. of Poplars . Provenance: Through the family of the artist. Cypresses is accompanied by a mat, but the window size does not correspond to the image.
