Hannes Beckmann (German/American, 1909-1977) The Wave Initialed and dated "h. b. 69" l.l., titled, inscribed, dated and signed "...1969 Hannes Beckmann" on the reverse. Oil on canvasboard, 22 1/4 x 28 1/2 in. (56.5 x 72.4 cm), framed. Condition: Minor retouch and abrasions. Abrasions u.l. quadrant, the largest measuring 1 in. long and a second measuring 5/8 in. long, both with minor paint losses. Small paint loss in the very center with retouch to cover. Scattered drips of foreign matter, mainly to l.l. quadrant. Two very minor scuffs l.r. corner.
