William E. Dassonville (American, 1879-1957) The Condensing Tower. c. 1925. Signed "W. E. Dassonville" in pencil l.r. Gelatin silver or platinum print, image size 10 3/4 x 9 in. (27.3 x 22.8 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Provenance: From the collection of Austin Lamont, by family descent. Sheet size approximately 13 1/2 x 11 in. Handling creases to margins, including one that extends into the image by approximately 1/2 inch l.r., and one to l.l. corner. Toning or mild soiling and some slight rippling to edges of sheet. Pinpoint printing flaw c.r. edge. Two small dots of abrasion, one in each of the lower corners on the reverse, probably from an old mounting. Photograph is matted using linen tape corners on three corners.
