Walter Franklin Lansil (American, 1846-1933) Morning, Portland Harbor Initialed and dated "W. F.L. 1880" l.r., titled l.l. Oil on academy board, 9 1/4 x 11 in. (23.5 x 28.0 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered retouch, craquelure, surface grime. Retouch center top edge in an uneven-sized patch measuring about 1 in. overall; to u.r. and l.l. corners of about 1/4 in.; scattered dots of pinpoint-size retouch in the sky, with more, perhaps 15 or so, dots to the lower center; and with two dots of 1/8 in. diameter at lower center. Five thin, short lines of retouch to l.l., as if to fill in fine cracks. Prevalent overall craquelure.
