Frederick Judd Waugh (American, 1861-1940) Marshland Landscape Signed "Waugh" on the reverse. Oil on panel, 9 3/4 x 13 5/8 in. (24.7 x 34.7), framed. Condition: Retouch, fine craquelure, bowing to the support. Bowing to panel of 1/4 in. at maximum in center. Small frame abrasion u.l. edfge. Retouch to fill craquelure, particularly to the sky. Dots of retouch: to u.l. quadrant measuring 1/2 in diameter; to center in tree trunk 1/4 in. diameter; cluster of small dots of retouch c.r. side measuring about 1/8 in. diameter/s in an area measuring about 1 x 1-1/2 in. Line of retouch to u.r. corner, probably to cover a hairline split in the panel, measuring 5 in. across.
