French, early 20th century. Matched pair of Louis XVI style giltwood bergeres, both having a rocaille carved cresting and leafy carved frame over triple paneled and double caned back and sides with downswept arms on foliate-carved uprights, the whole raised on turned, tapered and stop fluted legs headed with patera blocks. Approximate height 35.25", width 31.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 20.8", seat height 16".
