Gordon Hope Grant (American, 1875-1962) United States Naval Ships at Sea Signed and dated "Gordon Grant/1944" l. l. Oil on canvas, 28 1/8 x 36 in. (71.5 x 91.2 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, scattered paint losses, mild surface grime. Inscribed "Kemper/Thomas" in pencil on the stretcher. Minor abrasions beneath frame liner, one area of retouch to the l.l. quadrant (on a wave crest) measuring approx. 1 x 1 in. Minor losses to u.l. corner.
