Attributed to Paul Sormani (French, 1817-1866), second half 19th century. Louis XV/XVI Transitional style gilt bronze mounted kingwood, and marquetry inlaid breakfront commode, the breakfront molded Breche d'Alep marble top over a conforming case with two drawers inlaid sans traverse with flower filled and swagged urns and having a single locking mechanism, the chamfered angles with gilt bronze ribbon tied laurel leaf mounts terminating in shaped cabriole legs. Approximate height 32.6", width 47", depth 20.25".
