Jade Hu Vase with Cover, China, 18th/19th century, of flattened hu shape and raised on a short pedestal foot, finely carved to both sides in relief with stylized lotus flowers borne on feathery leafy scrolls, the neck flanked by elephant-mask lugs suspending pendant rings, the domed cover with fluted design and surmounted by a knob, the stone of pale celadon color, ht. 8 1/2 in.
