French, 19th century. A monumental oak wood matrimonial armoire comprising a molded cornice with rounded front edges over a frieze with carved vine and leaf motif, over the two-door facade, each door decorated with cyma curved molded panels surmounted by scrolled and beaded vines, each panel centered by a carved multi-petaled flower with s beaded and c-scroll carved rondel flanked by two half-round multi-petaled flowers, with iron scrolling keyhole backplates and centered by a carved rope with tassel, doors opening to interior with three shelves and one extra bracket for placement of an additional shelf, over a serpentine carved and molded apron with central gadrooned urn with flowers and two flanking carved vines, all resting on two front cabriole legs with scroll feet and two back squared legs.
