Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Flying Ducks, 1919, published state, edition of 235 (Paff, 160). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l., initialed and dated within the plate. Etching on paper, plate size 8 7/8 x 6 7/8 in. (22.5 x 17.3 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Provenance: Descended within the family of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morse of Boston. Out of the frame the sheet measures 14 x 11 1/2 in. It is watermarked Shogun paper with all of its edges deckled. The sheet is evenly toned, and has brown paper tape "hinges" to the upper corners.
