Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) The Long Journey, 1926, published state, edition of 150 (Paff, 254). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l. Etching on paper, plate size 9 3/4 x 11 3/4 in. (24.6 x 29.8 cm), framed. Condition: Gentle toning to margins, subtle rippling, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Descended within the family of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morse of Boston. Out of the frame the sheet measures 13 7/8 x 16 in. It is laid paper with deckled left and lower edges. There is cockling along the margins, and glue from old hinges near the upper corners. The sheet in mildly toned.
