English Arts & Crafts Silver-gilt and Enamel Buckle, Child & Child, the peacock enamel centers within garland borders, lg. 3 1/8 in., maker's mark, in original fitted box, (enamel loss). Note: A very nice example of Child & Child's work, as they are known for their silver and guilloche enamel jewelry, particularly their buckles, and for using peacock feather motifs. Enamel loss to one end across one side of the laurel, and slightly on the other. Tarnish to reverse. With flower mark. Box with age typical scuffs and scratches.
