Whaley Art glass and metal New York, c. 1905 Flat top with small aperture ring, reinforced with four rods that run from the ring to the lower edge, they are part of the design to support the wide top panels to the deep apron in an oriental poppy mosaic design, some stable cracks, dia. 20 3/4 in. Provenance: The consignors statement: "My mother acquired this shade from the Underwood Mansion in Brooklyn, New York, home of typewriter magnate John Thomas Underwood and his family, they attended the same church."
