Regency Mahogany and Brass-inlaid Tall Case Clock with Barometer and Thermometer, early 19th century, the hood with ogee cresting centered by a small brass figure of an eagle, with round aperture enclosing double-cylinder chiming movement, the dial with subsidiary second hand, engraved Milton , the case with glass front door fitted with a barometer dial engraved Scott, Dublin , over a thermometer set atop a lyre-form decoration, on plinth base, accented with brass line inlay and stylized sunbursts throughout, ht. 84 1/4, wd. 18 1/4, dp. 9 1/2 in. Case: Hood with good cresting; one minor loss to brass fluting to right corner and with some popping brass to lower edge of hood. Midcase with chip to wood at 9o'clock on surround, no interior workings for barometer/thermometer; numbers need fill on face. Lower case with shrinkage and some replaced brass stringing, chips to base. Overall minor defects.
