Edwardian Inlaid Rosewood Writing Box, early 20th century, rectangular, the lid and fall-front inlaid with boxwood and harewood scrollwork, husks, and ribbons, with small side lifting handles, lid and front opening to interior fitted with pigeonholes, small drawers, and inkwell, a writing slide, morocco-covered blotter, pencil, pen, and bone, fall-front opening further to crushed morocco writing surface, box closed 12 1/4 x 6 1/2 x 7 1/2 in. finish wear to lid and front surface. Top with veneer chips to left rear corner, and right front corner. Front panel with rippling to veneer, with small spots of veneer loss to upper edge, and lower right corner. Overall surface wear, scuffs, and finish darkening. Interior good, with minor usage wear.
