Large Cloisonne Jardiniere, Continental, likely France, 19th century, the bulbous body with black ground with polychrome enamel decoration of birds and butterflies among flowering foliage, reticulated gilt-metal base with six legs formed by elephant masks, ht. 16 1/2, dia. 17 1/2 in. In very good condition with but light overall surface wear. Slightly out of round.
